What 앬 means
Read it as one syllable within a Korean word.
Hangul stacks an initial, a vowel, and sometimes a final consonant in one block. In 앬, ㅇ is silent, ㅐ is the vowel, and ㄽ is a two-consonant final called a 겹받침; its sound depends on what follows.
Hangul was devised in 1443; the 1446 guide 훈민정음 explained the script. It made Korean easier to learn when writing relied on Chinese-character systems. 앬 is assembled from Hangul parts.
Neutral in Korean text; opaque as an isolated syllable.
