What 뺀 means
It is a form of 빼다, “to remove” or “take out.”
빼다 can mean removing something, taking it out, subtracting it, or leaving it off a list. 뺀 appears inside a larger Korean phrase; the nearby noun and sentence ending tell you which reading fits.
How is 뺀 built, and where does Hangul come from?
It is one Hangul block assembled from three letters.
The small consonant and vowel letters used to build Hangul syllables are called jamo: ㅃ starts this block, ㅐ is its vowel, and ㄴ closes it. A Korean input method normally combines them into one syllable block.
Hangul’s creation is recorded in 1443; the 1446 book 훈민정음 explains its letters. The script was designed as a practical way to write Korean and later served literary, religious, instructional, and everyday writing.
Ordinary Korean grammar; the block has no special social tone on its own.
A bare 뺀 is only part of a phrase; translate the full sentence.

1Why does my keyboard show ㅃㅐㄴ separately?
Your keyboard is sending jamo separately instead of composing a Hangul block. Switch to a Korean input method with syllable composition enabled.
