What 뾰 means
Its meaning comes from the Korean word around it.
뾰 is one Hangul syllable block, not a whole word here. 뾰족하다 describes something pointed, 뾰루지 means “pimple,” and 뾰로통하다 describes someone looking sulky. The shared first syllable does not give these words the same meaning; read the whole word.
Where did 뾰 come from?
뾰 follows Hangul’s rule for grouping consonants and vowels into syllable blocks. Hangul groups consonant and vowel letters, called jamo, into blocks. Hunminjeongeum, an explanation of the new Korean writing system, describes this design in 1446. The block 뾰 brings together the doubled consonant ㅃ and the vowel ㅛ.
A 1933 spelling standard adopted ㅃ in place of the earlier spelling ㅽ.
Neutral inside Korean words; by itself, 뾰 has no fixed conversational meaning.
A lone 뾰 does not tell you which word or meaning the sender intends; read the surrounding message.

Questions people ask
1Why does 뾰 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
