What 븍 means
By itself, 븍 does not give a dependable word translation. Hangul, the Korean alphabet, builds syllable blocks from consonant and vowel letters. 븍 combines ㅂ as the opening consonant, ㅡ as the vowel, and ㄱ as the final consonant. With a Korean input method, enter ㅂ, ㅡ, then ㄱ to form 븍.
Hangul was completed in 1443, and an explanatory text introducing the writing system was issued in 1446. It was designed as a learnable way to represent Korean speech. 븍 is one combination of letters in that system.
Different fonts can draw Hangul blocks with different proportions or strokes. The appearance can change while the character remains 븍.
