What 봬 means
It means “see or meet respectfully,” usually inside a verb form.
봬 is the shortened form of 뵈어, from 뵈다, the honorific verb for seeing or meeting an older or higher-status person. In 내일 봬요, it reads as a polite “See you tomorrow.” The shortcut is ordinary vowel contraction: 뵈어 → 봬, just as 되어 → 돼.
The root is older than the compact spelling. A study of 15th century Korean places 뵈다 among lexical honorifics. A 2002 National Institute guide separates three homonymous 뵈다 verbs — “be seen,” “show,” and “meet respectfully” — so the words around 봬 settle whether it is about looks or a person you will meet.
Is it 봬요 or 뵈요?
Write 봬요, not 뵈요.
뵈어요 contracts to 봬요; sticking 요 straight onto the stem gives the nonstandard 뵈요. Keep 뵈 before endings such as 뵐까요? or 뵈러, and use the related, slightly more deferential 뵙- in forms such as 뵙겠습니다.
The same pattern gives 봬서, 봬도, and 뵀다. If your sentence means “be seen” or “show,” the spelling can still be 봬; the surrounding words tell you which 뵈다 you have.
Polite and deferential; it marks a meeting or farewell as respectful toward the person you will see.
For the polite “see you,” write `봬요`, not `뵈요`.

1Why does 봬 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
