hangul syllable bweonh

Hangul syllable Bweonh

4515/11172

붢 is one Hangul syllable block; by itself, it does not settle a word's meaning. It combines ㅂ, ㅝ, and ㄶ, and a Korean input method can build it from several keystrokes. Unicode normalization can also represent the block as three jamo, the individual letters used to build Hangul syllables.

What 붢 means

On its own, 붢 is a syllable block, not a complete word.

붢 consists of the starting consonant ㅂ, the vowel ㅝ, and the final consonant cluster ㄶ. These are Hangul letters arranged into one block. Its role and meaning depend on the Korean word around it.

The Korean writing system called 훈민정음 was designed to write Korean speech directly. The first record of its creation dates to 1443; an explanatory book published in 1446 describes how consonants and vowels fit together. That design later became the basis for Unicode's precomposed Hangul syllables and their decomposable jamo.

How do I type 붢?

Use a Korean IME and type its component letters.

On the QWERTY-labelled Dubeolsik two-set layout, as of 2026, type qnjsg: ㅂ ㅜ ㅓ ㄴ ㅎ. The Korean input method combines ㅜ and ㅓ as ㅝ, then joins ㄴ and ㅎ as final ㄶ to produce 붢. Other layouts may differ.

Why can 붢 split into jamo?

NFD can split it; NFC can compose the letters back into 붢.

Unicode's NFD form (canonical decomposition) stores the components ᄇ, ᅯ, and ᆭ separately. NFC (canonical composition) can join them into the syllable block again. A text system may display either form similarly, even though searches and character counts can differ.

Neutral as a Hangul syllable; its role and meaning come from the Korean word around it.

Questions people ask

1

Why can 붢 become three characters after normalization?

It can. Unicode's NFD form (canonical decomposition) expands 붢 into ᄇ, ᅯ, and ᆭ; NFC (canonical composition) can join them into 붢 again.

Why is 붢 a box on my screen?

fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
