What 츃 means

As of 2026, it has no fixed standalone meaning.

츃 is ㅊ ㅟ ㅎ: ㅊ begins the block, ㅟ is its vowel, and ㅎ closes it. In a Korean word, these parts spell a syllable. Sent alone, it is best treated as a character sample or input test unless the conversation gives it another purpose.

Hangul was designed to write Korean speech in its own alphabet, at a time when Chinese characters were used for written Korean. Its first record dates to 1443; Hunminjeongeum, a book explaining the alphabet, dates to 1446. Early Hangul appeared in Korean translations and works mixing it with Chinese characters before becoming the ordinary script of modern Korean. 츃 follows Hangul’s rules for building syllable blocks; it is not a separate sign with its own symbolic history.

How do I type 츃?

Enable the Korean 2-Set keyboard and press C, N, L, then G.

On a Korean keyboard, these QWERTY positions enter ㅊ, ㅜ, ㅣ, and ㅎ. The input method combines ㅜ ㅣ into the vowel ㅟ and composes the block; the Latin key labels are positions, not Korean sounds.

Unicode can store the syllable as the single precomposed block 츃 or as decomposed letters ᄎ ᅱ ᇂ. These forms are canonically equivalent, but an unnormalized search or character counter may treat their sequences differently, and a font can lay out the decomposed parts differently.

Neutral as a Korean spelling component; its tone comes from the word or message around it.

Why is 츃 a box on my screen?

fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
