Hangul syllable ddags

딳 (ddags) is one Korean Hangul syllable, so its meaning depends on the word around it; by itself, it is not a complete message. On a two-set Korean keyboard, ㄸ ㅏ ㄳ compose into 딳.

What 딳 means

It is one Korean syllable, not a complete message. Its meaning depends on the word around it. If it arrives alone, ask what Korean word or passage it belongs to; its block shape does not supply a reaction meaning.

Why does 딳 look like a square?

The block arranges Korean letters into one syllable. Hangul's creation is documented from 1443; the 1446 Hunminjeongeum explanation set out the new script's purpose and principles. Hangul offered a more accessible way to write Korean than older systems that adapted Chinese characters to Korean, including Idu, Gugyeol, and Hyangchal.

Hangul appeared in Buddhist and Confucian publications, practical writing, and everyday communication; it became Korea's official national writing system in 1894.

What is 딳 made from?

It combines ㄸ, ㅏ, and ㄳ. Hangul blocks arrange an initial consonant, a vowel, and sometimes a final consonant cluster. In 딳, ㄸ begins the syllable, ㅏ is its vowel, and ㄳ closes it.

Unicode can represent the same Hangul syllable as one precomposed block or as separate jamo, the individual Korean letters. Normalization can change which form you encounter, and the font shapes the components when displayed.

Neutral as Korean text; opaque by itself outside a word.

Do not treat the block shape as a generic reaction; read it as Korean text.
