What 똡 means
Alone, 똡 is unclear; ask what Korean word was intended.
Hangul was designed to represent Korean speech clearly and make writing easier to learn. Korean had also been written with Chinese characters, which did not fit its sounds well. The first historical record of Hangul is dated 1443; an explanatory book titled Hunminjeongeum followed in 1446. Each Hangul block combines consonant and vowel letters, called jamo: in 똡, ㄸ starts the block, ㅗ is the vowel, and ㅂ ends it.
A 2011 Gyeongsang dialect survey transcript records a speaker using 똡 in a passage about helping a family after a death. The standard Korean version uses 또 (“also”) in the same spot. This is one regional transcription, not a general definition.

1Why does 똡 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
