What 뒎 means

뒎 is one Hangul syllable, not a complete message. As of 2026-09-13, no standalone word meaning is established for this exact block; its role is read from the Korean word around it. Its spelling has ㄷ as the opening consonant, ㅞ as the vowel, and ㄶ as the ending cluster.

On a Korean 2-Set (Dubeolsik) keyboard, E N P S G produces it: E enters ㄷ, N P form ㅞ, and S G form ㄶ.

Why was Hangul created?

Hangul was designed to write Korean speech in a learnable script. The Annals of King Sejong, a court chronicle, record 28 letters in lunar 1443. The 1446 Hunminjeongeum, a book explaining the new script, describes their design and how letters combine into syllables.

At the time, Korean was often written with Chinese characters, a system not designed to represent Korean speech directly. Hangul offered Korean readers a more direct way to write their language. Over time it became the script of ordinary Korean writing; digital text can represent a syllable as one precomposed block or as a sequence of joining letters.

How do I type 뒎?

Use a Korean 2-Set keyboard; its input method builds the block. With the Dubeolsik layout active, type E N P S G in order: E enters ㄷ, N P combine as ㅞ, and S G combine as ㄶ.

Hangul input is incremental: the input method first shows a provisional block, then can move a trailing consonant to the next syllable when a vowel follows. That is normal composition behavior.

The same syllable may appear as one precomposed block or as conjoining jamo—the letters that join inside a Hangul block. Fonts and text systems can position those components differently.

Neutral Korean writing, not an emoji; its word-level role comes from the surrounding Korean text.
