What 둳 means
Switch to Korean input and press E-N-J-E on Dubeolsik.
E enters initial ㄷ; N followed by J enters ㅜ and ㅓ, which the input method combines as ㅝ; final E adds ㄷ. These jamo are the Korean consonant and vowel letters that build Hangul blocks.
If another vowel arrives before the block is committed, the input method can move final ㄷ into the next block. That temporary change is normal composition.
What does 둳 mean in Korean?
By itself, it is one syllable, not a complete message.
In a Korean word, this block contributes one syllable's sound and spelling; surrounding blocks establish the word. Hangul arranges consonant and vowel letters in square blocks that represent spoken syllables. A 1443 record says King Sejong created 28 letters; the 1446 Hunminjeongeum, a guide to the new writing system, explains their design and the initial, middle, and final positions in a block. South Korea calls the script Hangeul, while North Korea calls it Chosŏn'gŭl.
Why does 둳 look different on some screens?
It is a Hangul text syllable whose components may display differently.
Unicode also represents it in decomposed form as 둳: an initial consonant, a vowel, and a final consonant. Unicode treats the block and this sequence as equivalent after normalization, which standardizes equivalent encodings. Fonts may position the component strokes differently without changing the text.
Neutral as a Hangul spelling unit; its role is part of a word's pronunciation and spelling.
Alone, it may look like a fragment or unfinished input.
