Hangul Syllable Dyod

A bare 됻 won't tell you what a sender means; ask for context instead of guessing. Its paper trail reaches into Korean medical writing.

What 됻 means

As of 2026-09-23, no standalone modern reading is established. A 1466 Korean medical guide uses 됻 in the longer verb form 됻니라; the sentence says the remedy takes effect immediately.

Hangul was created to write Korean speech; its first record is from 1443, and a 1446 guide explains how consonants and vowels form syllable blocks. The square blocks were designed to sit beside Chinese characters, but their letter shapes were not directly influenced by them. Hangul was used in books before becoming official for government documents in 1894; mixed writing continued.
