What 꺁 means
It is one Korean syllable, pronounced roughly “kkaet.”
Its meaning comes from the word it forms. The opening k is tense, the vowel resembles the one in “get,” and the final t is clipped. Three jamo—Hangul letters for consonants and vowels—build the block: ᄁ starts it, ᅢ supplies the vowel, and ᇀ ends it.
When was Hangul created?
Hangul was devised in 1443 and explained in 1446.
The Hunminjeongeum was a guide to the new script and its sounds, designed to make Korean speech easier to write. Hangul entered use alongside Chinese characters and later became the everyday script for Korean.

Questions people ask
1Why does 꺁 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
