What 꽙 means
It is a Korean syllable block; the syllable alone does not explain a sender's purpose.
Hangul is the Korean writing system; its letters, called jamo, join into syllable blocks. 꽙 combines ㄲ at the start, ㅘ as its vowel, and ㅂ at the end. “Ggwab” is a romanized label, not a translation; approximate the sound as “kkwap,” with a tense initial k and a final p that stops without an added vowel.
Hangul was devised in 1443, and the explanatory book Hunminjeongeum was published in 1446 to introduce it. Later, Hangul carried Buddhist and Confucian texts, literature, everyday writing, and government records; it became Korea's official national writing system in 1894. These milestones explain the script's history, not a separate message encoded by this syllable.
Neutral as Korean text; an isolated syllable leaves the sender's purpose unclear.
If someone sends only 꽙, read it as Korean text and use the surrounding conversation to understand why.
