What 꿱 means
꿱 is a Korean syllable block with no fixed standalone meaning. It combines the initial consonant ㄲ, the vowel ㅞ, and the final consonant ㄱ; the surrounding word gives it meaning.
On a Korean two-set keyboard, ShiftR, N, P, R enters those parts in order: ㄲ, ㅞ, then ㄱ. The input method joins the letters into one block.
Hangul was created in 1443 to write Korean in a system suited to its sounds. Its design was explained in 1446 in the Hunminjeongeum, a guide to the writing system.
What does 꿱 mean when someone sends it?
In Korean sound-effect writing, 꿱 can imitate vomiting. A Korean book on one-syllable sound words, published in 2019, groups it under “to vomit,” alongside 왝 and 웩, two other written sound effects.
Sent alone, 꿱 does not tell an unfamiliar reader that you mean “grossed out.” Add words if you need that reaction to be clear.
It can read as a Korean vomiting sound effect; outside that context, its meaning may be opaque.
Don’t use it as a generic gross-out reaction; a reader may not know its Korean sound-effect use.
