What 꿻 means
On Korean 2-set, type ShiftR, then np, then fq.
On the Korean 2-set (Dubeolsik) keyboard, those key groups enter ㄲ, ㅞ, and ㄼ in that order, assembling the single block 꿻.
What does 꿻 mean?
It is a Hangul syllable block; its word meaning comes from context.
The syllable name “ggwelb” describes its parts: ㄲ is the initial consonant, ㅞ the vowel, and ㄼ the final consonant cluster. The smaller Hangul letters, called jamo, combine inside the block.
Why does Hangul use syllable blocks?
Hangul groups letters into blocks to write Korean syllables.
Hangul was created for Korean, whose spoken sounds differed from Chinese, while Chinese-character writing was considered difficult and inconvenient. The script was devised in 1443 and explained in 1446; later it appeared in Buddhist and Confucian books as well as everyday writing. 꿻 follows that block design as one combination within the writing system.
