What 햶 means
“Hyaelm” labels the block’s parts, not a translation.
“hyaelm” is a structural label: ㅎ begins the syllable, ㅒ is its vowel, and ㄻ its final consonant cluster. Hangul combines consonant and vowel letters into syllable blocks.
The 1443 Hunminjeongeum, King Sejong’s guide to Korean writing, aimed to ease reading and writing. Phags-pa, another historical script, has been proposed as an influence on Hangul’s design; that concerns the script as a whole, not this block’s direct origin.

Questions people ask
1Why does 햶 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
