What 짘 means
It names a syllable shape, not a message. Use “jik” as the romanized reading, not as a translation. The block combines ㅈ (initial consonant), ㅣ (vowel), and ㅋ (final consonant); these Hangul letters are called jamo.
Korea's Joseon kingdom introduced Hangul in 1443 as a writing system for Korean. Hangul's jamo combine into blocks for syllables; Unicode represents this block as equivalent to its ordered jamo sequence. That history explains how the spelling is built, not a separate meaning for the individual block.
How do you type 짘?
Type ㅈ, then ㅣ, then ㅋ in Korean input. A Korean IME (input method editor) combines jamo into syllable blocks as you type.
On the common 2-set Korean keyboard layout, this is the regular initial-vowel-final sequence. If an app shows the letters separately, it has not combined them into 짘 yet.
Why can 짘 look different across fonts?
Font styling can change its strokes, not its identity. Hangul letters are shaped within a square syllable cell. Fonts can vary in stroke style, spacing, and weight, so 짘 may look different while keeping the same letter sequence and reading.
Neutral as written text; by itself, it is an unexplained syllable rather than a tone cue.
If someone sends only 짘, ask what they mean before reading a tone into it.
