What 짴 means
It is a Hangul block, not an established word as of 2026.
The block combines the Hangul letters ㅉ ㅏ ㅋ. Their arrangement explains the spelling, not a dictionary definition.
Why does this Hangul block exist?
Hangul combines letters into syllable blocks.
Hangul was created in 1443 and explained in 1446 so Korean could be written with those blocks. Unicode later encoded modern Hangul combinations systematically.
The 1446 Hunminjeongeum Haerye, a guide explaining the new script, records 짝 (“pair”) in an older spelling, ᄧᅡᆨ. That history belongs to 짝; it does not give 짴 that word’s meaning.
