What 캾 means
It is one Korean syllable, not a complete word with a fixed meaning. The label “kyabs” mechanically names its parts. When 캾 ends a word, its final ㅄ is pronounced as a single ㅂ-like p sound, with no separate s.
Hangul is the writing system for Korean, with letters arranged into blocks, one for each syllable. In 캾, ㅋ is the initial consonant, ㅑ the vowel, and ㅄ the two-consonant final cluster. The final-consonant position is called 받침; a cluster there is 겹받침.
Hangul was made so ordinary Koreans could write their language; its earliest official record dates to 1443, and an explanatory manuscript followed in 1446. Hangul spread through letters, religious books, and fiction, then became Korea’s dominant writing system. Phags-pa, a square Mongol script known in Korea, is a proposed influence on Hangul. That possible link is between writing systems, not an origin for this individual syllable.

1Why does 캾 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
