What 미 means

The Korean word for beauty is read mi and written 美, a Chinese character used in Korean. In school grading, 미 is the third mark.
Why was Hangul created?
It gave Korean writers an easier way to write their language.
Devised in 1443 as an easier way to write Korean than using Chinese characters, the script was first called Hunminjeongeum (훈민정음). A 1446 book explained its principles.
