Text symbol

What 몶 means

It joins an initial consonant, a vowel, and a final cluster.

Hangul arranges letters, called jamo, into syllable blocks. In 몶, ㅁ is the initial, ㅗ the vowel, and ㄿ the final cluster ㄹ ㅍ. Korean calls this two-consonant ending 겹받침. The block shows a syllable’s spelling; context supplies a word’s meaning.
