What 뮐 means
A Korean syllable, not an emoji or reaction.
뮠 stacks ㅁ ㅟ ㄹ into one block; the mwil pronunciation rhymes with will, with rounded lips. In modern Korean it survives mainly inside a foreign-name spelling such as 뮠러 for Müller. A 1447 Yongbieocheonga verse uses the same block in a Middle Korean verb meaning “move” or “be shaken,” which is the history behind this rare block.
Hangul was created across 1443–1446 to give Korean an easy, learnable script; earlier Idu, Gugyeol, and Hyangchal borrowed Chinese characters to write Korean. 뮠 was never invented separately — it falls out of that system, so any meaning comes from the word around it, not the block alone.
How do you type 뮠?
Use a Korean IME and enter ㅁ, ㅟ, then ㄹ.
Type A-N-L-F on QWERTY: A gives ㅁ, N then L gives ㅟ, and F gives ㄹ. The IME fuses the Jamo into one block; for a one-off, copy it from the palette above.
Storage can split what you see joined: Hangul Jamo normalization lets NFC keep the composed syllable while NFD expands it to Jamo, though compliant fonts still show one block.
Neutral Korean writing; no emoji tone or attitude attached.
Meant “what”? Use 뭘; lone 뮠 reads as a typo.
