What 넮 means
It writes one Korean syllable; the surrounding word supplies meaning. The Hangul jamo (individual letters) are ᄂ (initial), ᅦ (vowel), and ᆱ (the final ㄹㅁ cluster). Type ㄴ, ㅔ, ㄹ, and ㅁ in a Korean input method; it combines the last two. In a particular font, their outlines and spacing can change without changing the letter sequence.
Hangul was developed under King Sejong as a writing system suited to Korean sounds and grammar, and easier for ordinary people to learn than Chinese characters alone. A royal record says he created 28 letters in December 1443; the manuscript 훈민정음 해례본, an explanatory book about their forms and sounds, was completed in 1446. Korean writing used Hangul alongside Hanja (Chinese characters used in Korean writing); Hangul is the main script of modern Korean.

fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
