What 놂 means
It means “playing”: the noun form of 놀다.
In Korean, adding the noun-forming ending -ㅁ to the stem 놀 from 놀다 (“to play”) gives 놂. The final ㄻ joins the stem’s ㄹ with the ending ㅁ. In a sentence, 놂 can mean “playing” or “the act of playing.” Depending on context, 놀다 can also mean spending leisure time or hanging out.
The verb 놀다 appears in the 1447 Korean Buddhist text 석보상절. Writing from the Joseon-era describes 놀이 as both competitive activity and recreation for rest and recovery.

Questions people ask
1Why does 놂 look split?
It may be a text-encoding or font issue: Unicode’s decomposed form (NFD) represents the same syllable as conjoining jamo 놂. Some apps or fonts do not join those parts cleanly, so it can appear split.
