What 팍 means
팍 is a Korean sound word for abrupt force in an action. In 팍 치다, it means “hit hard”; 팍 내지르다, “shout sharply”; 팍 밟다, “stamp down”; 팍 쓰러지다, “collapse suddenly.” The verb names the action.
Hangul was devised in 1443 and explained in the 1446 Hunminjeongeum, a guide to Korean writing. Each Hangul block groups the letters of one syllable.

1Why does 팍 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
