What 퍲 means
Use a Korean IME: enter ㅍ, ㅒ, then ㅄ.
A Korean input method editor (IME), the software behind a Korean keyboard, combines initial consonant ㅍ, vowel ㅒ, and final cluster ㅄ into one Hangul syllable block.
The canonical sequence 퍲 may appear as separate jamo when an app or font cannot shape it. NFC, a Unicode form that composes equivalent sequences, can turn it into 퍲.
Does 퍲 have a meaning by itself?
As of 2026, 퍲 has no established standalone meaning. Its meaning comes from the Korean word that contains it. “Pyaebs” labels the components; it is not a translation of a Korean word.
Hangul was devised in 1443 under King Sejong; in 1446, the book 훈민정음 (“Correct Sounds for the Instruction of the People”) explained the new script. Earlier writing often used Chinese characters to represent Korean, while Hangul was designed for Korean speech and groups letters into syllable blocks. The script is called Hangul in South Korea and Chosŏn'gŭl in North Korea.
In a Korean word, it is an ordinary syllable; alone, its meaning is opaque.
Without the surrounding Korean word, its meaning is unclear.

1퍲 This is the same syllable decomposed into three conjoining jamo; some apps display the parts separately instead of shaping one block.
