What 릂 means
It is a Korean spelling unit. The block combines initial ㄹ, vowel ㅡ, and final cluster ㄿ, made from ㄹ ㅍ.
Hangul was devised in 1443 under King Sejong to write Korean speech more directly than by adapting Chinese characters. Its explanatory guide, Hunminjeongeum, appeared in 1446; Hangul entered official government documents in 1894.
