What 럊 means
By itself, 럊 is a syllable block, not a translated word. “Ryaj” names its parts: initial ᄅ, vowel ᅣ and final ᆽ, the Hangul jamo that form the block. Unicode can store them together or as separate jamo; fonts can draw the block in different shapes.
Earlier systems such as Idu, Hyangchal and Gugyeol adapted Chinese characters to write Korean. Hangul spread beyond the court among women and commoners, then became Korea’s official national writing system in 1894.
