What 쓃 means
One block joins an initial letter, a vowel and a final cluster.
Jamo are Korean letters: ㅆ begins the block, ㅟ is its vowel, and ㄼ is its final consonant cluster.
How did Hangul blocks develop?
Hangul was designed to write Korean in syllable blocks.
It was created in 1443 and introduced in 1446. Older spelling marked tense consonants—sounds made with a tighter articulation—with ㅅ-based clusters; the 1930 spelling rules adopted doubled letters such as ㅆ.
Korean text can store the same syllable as one block or a jamo sequence.

Questions people ask
1Why does 쓃 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
