Hangul Syllable Ssyanj

5942/11172

쌵 is a Korean Hangul syllable block with no established standalone everyday or message meaning as of 2026. It is built from three jamo—the letters that form Hangul syllables: ᄊ (initial ㅆ), ᅣ (vowel ㅑ), and ᆬ (final cluster ㄵ)—and functions as one syllable inside Korean text.

What 쌵 means

Jamo are Hangul’s building letters. Unicode breaks this syllable into an initial consonant, a vowel, and a final consonant cluster. Here those parts are ᄊ, ᅣ, and ᆬ; their familiar Korean letter forms are ㅆ, ㅑ, and ㄵ.

Why was Hangul created?

Hangul gave Korean a purpose-built writing system. Under King Sejong, it was created for writing Korean. Chinese characters had also been used to write Korean, but their forms and structure did not fit Korean sounds and grammar neatly. Hangul’s creation is recorded in 1443; the guide to its letters, 훈민정음, was completed in 1446.
