What 탩 means
A Korean word or name supplies its meaning.
탩's jamo components are initial consonant ㅌ, vowel ㅐ, and final cluster ㄾ. Jamo are the Hangul letters that combine into a syllable block; here, the three components appear together as one character.
Hangul was created in 1443 and introduced in 1446. It let people write Korean speech more directly than Chinese-character writing or idu, a method that used Chinese characters to write Korean; the script also aimed to widen literacy.

fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
