What 톿 means
It is one Hangul block made from three jamo. ㅌ begins it, ㅘ is its vowel, and ㄳ is its two-consonant ending.
Hangul is a Korean writing system documented from 1443. Hunminjeongeum, its guide published in 1446, explains the script’s purpose and initial, middle and final sounds. Unicode’s modern Hangul syllable order follows Johab, a Korean character-set standard.
Why do fonts draw 톿 differently?
The character stays the same even when fonts arrange its parts differently. Fonts can vary the parts’ placement, shape and size. Separate jamo may remain stored as a sequence while displaying as one syllable block.
