What 왤 means
Usually, it has no standalone meaning. In casual Korean, 왤케 shortens 왜 이렇게, literally “why like this?” and naturally “why so…?”; 왜케 is another spelling. “왤케 귀여워?!” (“Why are you so cute?!”) is playful admiration, not always a real question.
Hangul was devised by King Sejong in 1443; a book explaining it appeared in 1446. The script lets Korean speakers write their language without relying on Chinese characters. 왤 is one modern syllable block: initial, vowel, final.
Casual Korean shorthand.
In formal Korean, write 왜 이렇게.

1Why does 왤 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
