What 읞 means
Type its jamo in order on a Korean 2-set keyboard.
Jamo are the letters that combine into a Hangul syllable. On the standard Dubeolsik (2-set) layout, enter ㅇ, then ㅡ and ㅣ for ㅢ, then ㄴ and ㅎ for final cluster ㄶ. The Korean input method (IME) assembles them as you type; ㄶ is the syllable's batchim, or final consonant cluster.
Text normalization can affect comparisons: NFC stores this syllable as one precomposed block, while NFD represents it as separate jamo. Compare text in the same normalization form.
Is 읞 an emoji?
No. It is a Hangul syllable, not a pictorial reaction.
“Yinh” is a technical name built from the syllable's sound components; it does not translate a Korean word. Hangul was created in the 15th century under King Sejong to write Korean speech with an alphabet. Korean had also been written using Chinese characters, known in Korean as hanja.
Japanese colonial authorities restricted Hangul. After 1945, it became Korea's national script.
