What 윢 means
윢 is a Korean syllable block, not a complete word.
Hangul groups letters into syllable blocks. This one combines ᄋ as its initial consonant, ᅲ as its vowel, and ᆩ as its final consonant. In Korean text, it supplies one syllable inside a word; the surrounding syllables reveal the word.
Hangul was created under King Sejong to make Korean speech easier to write for people who struggled with Chinese-character writing. The script was devised in 1443 and published in 1446 with Hunminjeongeum Haerye, a book explaining how it works. The alphabet was first called Hunminjeongeum and is now known as Hangeul.
How to type 윢
With a Korean keyboard, enter ㅇ, then ㅠ, then ㄲ.
A Korean input method editor combines those key inputs into 윢. “Yugg” is Unicode’s technical label for its letter components, not an English translation.
The same syllable can be stored as the decomposed sequence 윢. A font or text renderer without Hangul coverage or shaping support may show a box or leave the jamo separate.
