What 𞱴 means
It represents four in a specialized accounting notation.
Abjad, an older system that gave each letter a number, differs from siyaq: siyaq shortened written number-words into cursive signs. A complete amount adds symbols for different decimal places and runs right to left, like Arabic writing; this mark supplies the value four.
Siyaq served government, trade, and land accounts across regions shaped by Persian language and administrative practice. The earliest surviving examples of the wider system are financial accounts from Baghdad dated 918–19; Indic siyaq was common under the Mughals by the 17th century and remained in use into the mid-20th century.
