What 𑂪 means
It is a Kaithi consonant letter. Kaithi is an abugida: vowel signs or a virama change the syllable.
Kaithi was used in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. A possible c. 1090 copper-plate record is uncertain; documentary use is secure from at least the 16th century. It served administration, trade, correspondence, and personal records, plus literary and religious writing in Bhojpuri, Magahi, Awadhi, Maithili, Urdu, and related languages. Devanagari displaced it in administration by the early 20th century.
Bhojpuri, Magahi, and Maithili styles are distinct; the Unicode chart shows Magahi style.
Script-specific and archival; unusual in casual chat.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𑂪 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
