What 𑽃 means
It separates phrases, verses, or sections. Kawi grew from the earlier Pallava script; Java’s Plumpungan inscription, around 750 CE, is its earliest cited record. From the 8th–16th centuries, Kawi was used for Old Javanese, Sanskrit, Old Malay, Old Balinese, and Old Sundanese. It first served land grants and royal orders; literary styles later grew ornate. Kawi-derived scripts include Balinese, Batak, Javanese, and Lontara. In the 21st century, renewed interest brought Kawi into social posts in modern Javanese and Indonesian.
