What 𘮌 means
The code-based name is not a Khitan translation.
Khitan small script uses word signs (logograms) and sound signs (phonograms); sound signs usually cluster two to eight per word. This Unicode label cannot show which role 𘮌 has in an inscription.
When was Khitan small script established?
The traditional date is 924 or 925, but it is debated.
The traditional account credits Yelü Diela with its creation; the earliest securely dated surviving text is a 1051 epitaph.
A 2026 study cites an unreadable letter at the Goryeo court (in Korea) in 1011 and argues the script was formally organized later, under Emperor Shengzong.

1Why does 𘮌 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
