What 𑈠 means
It is a Khojki consonant used to spell words.
Khojki is an Indic abugida: a left-to-right writing system where consonant letters combine with vowel signs to write words. This letter contributes to spelling; its meaning comes from the word or passage around it.
Khojki grew in Sindh within the Landa family of scripts, whose older ancestry is traced to Sharada. Lohāṇakī, a Sindhi form of Landa, was refined for literary writing and religious texts. Khojki later carried Sindhi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Siraiki, Persian, and other regional languages, especially devotional poems called ginans. Manuscript evidence places it in use by the 16th century; another account dates the first manuscripts to around 1737 and says a distinct form emerged from Landa in the 16th century. These dates describe a gradual tradition, not a single invention. Nizari Ismaili tradition credits Pir Sadruddin with spreading the script, not designing every letter.
What does it mean when someone sends 𑈠?
Alone, it reads as a character sample or fragment.
When a chat contains no other text, treat it as a script sample or incomplete fragment. Khojki's religious associations belong to the surrounding writing and community, not to this consonant by itself. As of 2026, Khojki remains used in some Ismaili communities and teaching materials; its everyday regional use is smaller than its manuscript and print history.
Specialist and archival in tone; alone in a casual message, it reads as a script sample unless other text adds context.
A lone 𑈠 is not evidence of a blessing or religious statement.

- The digital Khojki glyph set was based on Laljibhai Devraj's 1903 metal type, linking today's digital forms to the press tradition behind Ismaili devotional books.
Questions people ask
1Why does 𑈠 show as a box?
It can. The character needs a font with Khojki coverage; some apps also need Indic text shaping. Use a Khojki font in an app that supports shaping, then check the character again.

fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
