What ꓿ means
꓿ is the Fraser/Old Lisu full stop.
The system took shape in the 1910s through Sara Ba Thaw and James O. Fraser. Early texts supported Lisu Christian education and Bible translation; its print trail reaches a 1919 Yangon catechism.
Its punctuation reflects Burmese influence. Older questions ended with tone marks (syllable-pitch signs) and ꓿; since the 1980s, the European-style question mark has replaced that pattern. Some Lisu spellings use Pinyin, a system that writes sounds in Latin letters; ꓿ belongs to Fraser/Old Lisu.
