What 𑲖 means
It puts ca beneath a base consonant in a vertical stack. Read a Marchen ca stack as one unit.
Marchen wrote Zhang-zhung in Bön tradition; modern Bön literature uses it for Tibetan. Bön is a Tibetan religious tradition. Traditional accounts place Marchen before Buddhism reached Tibet in the seventh century. A 2013 Unicode proposal says no early texts are known and discusses a Menri bronze seal as an early example; its date and reading are disputed.
Marchung, Pungchen, Pungchung and Drusha are related Bön scripts. Marchen follows the vertical stacking model also used in Tibetan writing.
