What 𝐓 means
It marks a distinct variable; the formula assigns its role.
A variable is a letter that stands for a quantity. In physics and engineering, bold can mark vectors (quantities with direction); other fields may use it differently.
In his 1901 math textbook Vector Analysis, E. B. Wilson used bold letters for vectors and plain letters for scalars (quantities with size but no direction). Gibbs’s 1881 Elements of Vector Analysis used Greek letters for vectors and Latin letters for scalars. Unicode encodes mathematical styles separately so plain-text formulas can preserve the distinction.

Questions people ask
1Why did 𝐓 turn into plain T?
Some text-cleanup steps convert mathematical styles to plain letters; NFKC or NFKD normalization can remove the bold distinction.
