What 𝓝 means
Its style distinguishes the symbol; the formula supplies its meaning.
Mathematics uses different letter styles to tell quantities apart. 𝓝 is a Latin capital N in bold script, a flowing, calligraphic style adapted to sit neatly with formula lines and marks. The letter alone does not name a particular set or quantity; the surrounding formula defines it.
Unicode records these styles as separate math characters because a style difference can carry mathematical meaning. Some software applies compatibility normalization, a text-cleanup step also called NFKC, which folds 𝓝 to ordinary N and removes the style distinction.

1Why does 𝓝 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
