What 𝒽 means
It is a script h used as a distinct mathematical symbol. In a formula, letter style can distinguish 𝒽 from plain h, but the style alone does not tell you its value. The surrounding notation does.
Mathematical and scientific notation uses letter styles to distinguish symbols. Unicode 3.1 extended an earlier, smaller set of letterlike characters into fuller mathematical alphabets, letting those distinctions travel with each character in plain text. Here, script describes a mathematical style rather than handwriting.
Why does 𝒽 look different in some fonts?
Unicode defines a script style, not one exact drawing. The Unicode 18.0 chart uses roundhand, while math fonts such as Cambria Math and STIX Two Math default to chancery calligraphy. The same character can therefore look more or less flourished across devices.

2Questions people ask
1Why does 𝒽 become h?
It can: compatibility normalization maps 𝒽 to ordinary Latin h. NFKC and NFKD apply that mapping and discard the script distinction. This helps loose matching but loses information when the formula treats the styles differently.
