What ℎ means
It denotes Planck’s constant in physics.
In E hf, f is a photon’s frequency; in p h/λ, λ is its wavelength. ℎ is a text character for mathematical italic h, and fonts may make it look like ordinary italic h.
In 1900, Max Planck used h to fit blackbody-radiation measurements, the glow from a heated object. Treating energy as packets widened the constant’s role; Einstein later applied the idea to light.

ℏ is the reduced constant h/2π.
