What 𝋣 means
Its place in the Maya Long Count changes its value. The Long Count calendar stacks time: the bottom level counts days; the next counts groups of 20. Each dot is one; each bar is five.
From about 600 BCE to 900 CE, Maya and Zapotec writers in Mexico and Central America used bar-and-dot numerals, mainly for dates. A La Blanca object in Guatemala (650–600 BCE) may show numeral dots; that reading is uncertain. Unicode 18.0 (2026) notes reuse for page numbers in small publications from Guatemala and Yucatán.
