What 𖹏 means
It represents the E letter, not a whole word. Read it within a Medefaidrin word: the other letters and the surrounding sentence carry the full meaning. Medefaidrin has its own alphabet, with uppercase and lowercase forms.
Where did Medefaidrin come from?
It emerged in the Obɛri Ɔkaimɛ church in southeastern Nigeria. Community tradition dates the language's revelation to 1927. Bishop Michael Ukpong, a founder, was said to have received it by divine inspiration; church secretary Jakeld Udofia transcribed it. Members developed the writing system and taught the language at a school during the 1930s.
Medefaidrin served religious lessons and community communication, appearing in worship, Sunday school, hymns, letters, contracts, grammar and mathematics. British authorities closed the school within a year, but church use continued. Udofia resumed Sunday-school teaching in 1986. By 2024, University of Uyo projects were scanning old handwritten texts and working on a multilingual dictionary. The script uses uppercase and lowercase forms, a convention influenced by English writing.

By itself, 𖹏 is a letter rather than a word; ask for its surrounding Medefaidrin text if someone sends it alone.
