What 𖺘 means
The Medefaidrin period closes a sentence.
Why was Medefaidrin created?
For worship, teaching, and community life.
The Medefaidrin language and script emerged around 1927 in Obɛri Ɔkaimɛ, a church community in southern Nigeria. Community tradition says Bishop Ukpong received the language through divine inspiration; church secretary Jakeld Udofia wrote it down. R. F. G. Adams published an alphabet and sample in 1947. Writing supported worship, school lessons, and life beyond colonial interference; later records include prayers, hymns, letters, contracts, and schoolwork. After use declined, teaching resumed in 1986.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𖺘 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Medefaidrin block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
